18th Congress of the African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN)
18th Congress of the African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN) will take place from April 15th to 18th, 2025; in Tunis – Tunisia (First Announcement attached, website: afran2025.com). This event will be jointly organized with the 9th North African Congress of Nephrology and the 12th National Congress of the Tunisian Society of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation (STNDT), to enhance and strengthen cooperationwithin the African nephrology community. The scientific committee has planned to build an exciting scientific program with pre-congress courses, plenary sessions, focused workshops, free communications, and poster presentations. The topics will cover clinical nephrology, dialysis, kidney transplantation, hypertension, interventional nephrology, onco-nephrology, renal nutrition, green nephrology, nephrolithiasis, and the screening and prevention of chronic kidney diseases. This event will feature many distinguished and outstanding regional and international experts, allowing attendees to be updated and share their experiences in all areas of kidney diseases

The General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes and the World Kidney Academy Diploma in Clinical Renal Transplantation Dear Colleagues, Registration is now open for the Diploma in Clinical Renal Transplantation to commence in May/June 2024. Welcome to the Diploma in Clinical Renal Transplantation. This unique flagship programme is designed as a partnership between the General Organisation of Teaching Hospitals and Institutes (GOTHI) and the World Kidney Academy. It is offered online (PART 1) with clinical training for 12 months in one of the reputable transplant centres approved by the committee (PART 2). Part 1 is structured as six 20-credit modules (master’s level/level 7) that can be taken as standalone modules or as an award – Fellowship in Clinical Transplantation. Successful completion of part 2 is essential for awarding the diploma. For more details click here
وزير الصحة يشهد توقيع بروتوكول تعاون لتنفيذ دراسة اقتصادية حول ” الأثر المالي والإكلينيكي للغسيل الكلوي البريتوني “
شهد الدكتور خالد عبدالغفار وزير الصحة والسكان، اليوم الثلاثاء، توقيع بروتوكول تعاون بين وزارة الصحة والسكان وشركة “باكستر إيجيبت” للرعاية الصحية، وذلك بديوان عام وزارة الصحة بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة. وقع البروتوكول كل من الدكتور محمد حساني مساعد وزير الصحة لشئون مشروعات مبادرات الصحة العامة، والدكتورة رضوى عبد الكافي مدير قطاع تسجيل الأدوية والمستلزمات بأفريقيا من جانب شركة “باكستر”. أوضح الدكتور حسام عبدالغفار المتحدث الرسمي لوزارة الصحة والسكان، أن البروتوكول يهدف إلى التعاون بين وزارة الصحة وشركة “باكستر” في تنفيذ دراسة اقتصادية لتحليل الأثر المالي والإكلينيكي لخدمات الغسيل الكلوي البريتوني، والتي تنفذها شركة “أكسيت”. وأضاف “عبدالغفار” أن الوزير ناقش مع شركتي “أكسيت” و”باكستر”، نموذج الدراسة الاقتصادية التي يتم تنفيذها والمشتملة على المدخلات والمتغيرات والنتائج التي تم التوصل إليها في هذا الشأن، وكذلك مناقشة التكلفة الاقتصادية والعائد الاكلينيكي للغسيل البريتوني وفقًا للنتائج التي تم التوصل إليها، فضلاًعن بحث الحلول الممكنة لاستخدامه وتحديد المرضى المستفيدين منه.
